Full Time Internship | Galway

Galway is a city in the heart of Ireland’s breath-taking scenery, built off the shores of the Atlantic Ocean, and as you walk through the medieval streets you will hear its famed traditional folk and contemporary music. Galway is famous for being the festival capital of Ireland, hosting an average of 122 festivals and events per year!

Internships in Galway, Ireland are ideal if you are looking for an internship in an English-speaking location, but still want the experience of an international internship. The city offers placements in Marketing, Bio Engineering, Social Services, Law, Psychology, and Hospitality, among many other fields.

Develop your professional skills and make your resume stand out while living and working in Ireland!

City of Galway

Walking is the preferred method of transportation around Galway, but there is also a bike-share program and buses to help navigate around the city.

Galway is a coastal city which means the days are usually mild, but can be cloudy and rainy even in the driest months of the year, so don’t forget to pack your rain gear.

Ireland is 5 hours ahead of Eastern Standard Time and 8 hours ahead of Pacific Standard Time.

While English is an official language spoken in Galway, you will also hear Gaeilge, the second official language, spoken in shops and pubs around the city.

What Makes AIFS Abroad different?

Career Readiness

Professional development is at the foundation of our preparation for participants' time abroad. We utilize the Clifton Strengths assessment as a tool to help all participants understand themselves better, provide a vocabulary around their natural talents, and deepen the impact of their experience abroad.

Access, Inclusion, Diversity, & Equity (AIDE)

As an organization we are committed to ensuring all identities are able to thrive in an inclusive global educational environment. Everyone has a complex identity, and the different aspects of your identity are important when deciding on a program and location. Review our Social Identity Pages to assist you when selecting a program that best fits your interests and needs.
Student Resources

We are the first education abroad provider to sign on with the Climate Action Network for International Educators (CANIE). Focused on making education abroad carbon neutral, we include carbon offsets for all participants' return flights, environmental education connecting students on the ground to environmental projects, and make our own business practices more sustainable.
