Director of Education Abroad

Responsibilities:  Laura oversees the strategic planning and development for the office.    Education: M.Ed. Psychology and Student Affairs from Northern Arizona University; B.A. in Secondary Education from University of Arizona (Major in German and Minor in Spanish); studied languages 1 year in Vienna, Austria, 6 weeks in Guadalajara, Mexico, and 2 months in Antigua, Guatemala. Laura's professional background includes teaching, advising, and study abroad administration.   Travel Experience and Interests:  Laura comes to CSU with over 20 years of experience and passion for all forms of education abroad.  She values international education for how it develops greater perspectives on academics and society, as well as how it impacts individual growth and resiliency.   Her own education abroad has included classes, working, volunteering, and living with families in Germany, Austria, Mexico, Guatemala and Switzerland.  Her work and personal travel have taken her to many other international destinations - so her list of "favorites" is continually evolving!
